Some of the "must watch" movies are clearly ones that warrant tears at the end...Philadelphia comes to mind as one that always makes me cry. Mommie Dearest on the other hand, doesn't.

But would someone please explain why the end of A League of Their Own makes me weep?

(I think I'm going to go surf back and forth between Field of Dreams and game 1 of the World Series, even if, as my mother put it the other day "it doesn't matter, the important games have already been played. It doesn't matter who won the world series, the league championships were more important."

A League of Their Own is one that makes me cry and "shouldn't," too. Another is "The Trouble With Angels."

When it was on TV when I was a kid, we ate dinner in the family room.

I always cry at the end of ALOTO. It's nice to know we're all freaks together

Doesn't everyone cry at the end of A League of Their Own?

Hormones.

Isn't that the answer to every question about women?

I was being facetious, and here you go and inject truth into the discussion.
