State of Me

I've been hyper-emotional, and kind of blah the last few days. It happens. I presume it's hormones since that's usually the case. It will probably go away soon.

In the meantime, would you help cheer me up?

If you've got one, post a memory of me, if you've got one. I'll respond with one of you. Then, if you like, post this in your journal and see who responds with a memory of you.

I remember meeting up with you at the cafe that's part of the bookstore in Dupont Circle. We drank tea all night, each time ordering a different color (green, white, red and black, I think). We liked each other's tea better, so we each ordered another, of what the other person was having.

Cakes were also involved, I think.

It was far too late at night for tea and cakes. But we did it anyway.

Heheheh. You asked me if I thought you were looney for deciding to marry Cayne. :D

I have no memories outside of lj, but as I think I've told you before - you were a critical force in getting me interested in vaginas, and birth control, and VP. And I thank you for that, superverymuch. You were also my first lj-friend who I do not actually know IRL.

With [livejournal.com profile] happypete & [livejournal.com profile] lonebear in Crystal City -- an introduction to the furthest thing from a martini ever dubbed so --an alcoholic key-lime milkshake served in a martini glass. I got a sidecar that evening.

En route to a dinner with [livejournal.com profile] happypete and [livejournal.com profile] flyingwolf, a highly entertaining confused discussion wherein I was hearing [livejournal.com profile] happypete ask about tapas, and hence explaining that tapas was better found at Gallery Place than Union Station; he was instead referring to the topless hamburger joint mentioned as being in Crystal City.

Williams-Sonoma, as you mused about what to give your "relatively new" boyfriend for Valentine's day. Next I saw you, you were engaged.

Perfectly fine. There's a reason it wasn't the original comment I posted. Hm. I'm trying to remember different days but it's so long ago. My major image is really hanging around in the lobby, near the restaurant, amused at how your wrist looked while wearing Cayne's bracelet.

Every so often, I search through the front pocket of my purse and I find a matchbook from Luna, and I think of you, MJ, tomato soup, and grilled cheese...
