No lock on it. That's also the primary entry for the cats in the winter during the day when no one is home.
Other than having a lot of them, we've never had a problem with raccoons at my Mom's. They don't bother the trash cans, they don't bother the cats. Once in a while they've gotten into the kitchen, usually because we've been careless about shutting a door, and raided the pantry-they usually take things like potatoes or bags of noodles which they soon realize don't taste very good.
