A new family tradition

So about seven or eight weeks ago, we started a new family tradition here. It's really pleasant, and I'm enjoying it, a whole lot.

On Monday nights (usually) we sit down and read out loud, a chapter of a book together.

Our current choice for Monday night reading...Your Pregnancy, Week by Week.

I broke down in tears over the grocery list a while ago. I couldn't remember what we'd decided on for supper and what we needed for the pantry. That was about three days before I took a pregnancy test.

I seriously thought my thyroid was out of whack.

Crazy what growing a baby can do to our brains. At this rate, Kendra's gonna be a genius, I've got nothing left!

I am really excited for you all! I am glad that all of the hard work *cough* donating worked out!

BTW, I *am* interested in the gory details, since it's good to know the details before I make my own decsions. I just learned about the mucus plug about three months ago and I can only say my first thought was, "Yeeech."

Congratulations! I hated those books when I was pregnant — I didn't like being reminded that something the size of a finger was making me that tired.

I will tel you some time, about the use of the phrase "crotch boogers" in my house.

Some. Between about three and four in the morning, I'm up and in the bathroom from the stomach cramps.

The week by week book is nice. We went from the size of a lime to the size of a peach in a week though, and that sort of blew my mind.

The gas cramps are actually in a different spot and feel very different from uterine cramps for me, but they're really uncomfortable. And I don't appreciate the middle of the night wake up in pain race to the bathroom to empty my guts etc. bit. I'm hoping that at some point soon some of it will pass, though I expect it will get worse before it gets better.
