edit: Service charge is $13.50 on a $20 ticket. I'll do a box office run if people want. Paypal in advance would really help if I'm going to do that though.

edit 2: Wow. I'm even not scheduled to work that night; I work most Wednesday nights. Somehow I managed to get that one off. Neat how things work out sometimes.

Let me know if you want me to pick up your tickets. (It seems really silly to me to pay more than half the ticket price in service fees.)

I have to figure out what day to go get the tickets, but I'll post something here again before I do.

I think I'm not working that night, too, so I don't have to rearrange schedules.

That service charge is nuts! When we saw them last spring, they were at Slim's, who uses a ticket service that has $2.50 fees, so it cost $17.50.

But if I could get out there, I'd still go with you. :)

I can save the service fee (or at least most of it) by going to the box office to pick the tickets up, which is what I'll probably do. It's not as convenient as going to the Birchmere (which is one of my favorite venues around here-it's sort of like a restaurant with a stage, and there's no smoking) to pick up tickets-that's right around the corner from work, but even so, it's worth saving $13.50 per ticket to go in and get them at the box office. Birchmere charges a $2 per ticket service fee when you buy them at the box office, which is reasonable...and that goes for example to cover a police officer to patrol the parking lot.

I wish you could be here at the show with us. But I'll hope that they head out your way soon. (And thank my friend Kerry for mentioning that they were playing.)
