Gamer-Nerds Questions

I bought a Nintendo DS Lite today-Cayne, and others, have suggested that I would like the kinds of games available for it. He also thinks I need a Nintendog. But I have questions.

Right now, my game purchases will include (in the next day or two) Cooking Mama, and probably something like Brain Age or Sudoku or something similar. What else would you suggest? I like puzzle type games, Tetris, and the like. I play a lot of games at Pogo. I've never really cared for the Pokemon games.

Also, does the Nintendog require daily attention? How much time? Is it true that they run away if you don't spend enough time with them? What can you tell me about the game?

Big Brain Academy!

And yes, the Nintendog requires daily attention. And they will run away if you don't spend enough time with them (though I've been told they come back).

If I leave my Nintendogs alone for more than 12 hours or so, they are starving and parched. That makes me sad :(

I'll add, there is an option to board your dog in a hotel when you're going to be away for extended periods, but my issue is that a lot of times I just get too tied up and don't PLAN to leave them alone that long.

Also, you must always keep one dog in your house! You can't put ALL your dogs in the dog hotel. This makes it rather impractical as a way of making sure the dog is looked after when you're not able to play :(
