I said the other day that with the baby coming, I can stop feeling guilty about wanting to spend money on the vintage Sesame Street DVDs that are out (and will continue to be released for a while) since I'm not really buying them for me anymore.
And if I can't track down the llama song, I think I'm going to write a letter to Sesame Workshop or CTW or whoever would be responsible for that, and explain why I need to find that song and what I want it for, and to see if they can help me out. It can't hurt to ask, even if it's not possible to ge it.
I'm not sure I need it on repeat, I think I just need to know it's there.
OMG this was wonderful! I used to looooooove the llama song. In recent years I've sung it (usually in the presence of llamas), and my younger friends have no idea what I'm talking (err... singing) about.
And I remember when Mr. Hooper died... I remember my mom sitting down with me and my sister and having a very serious conversation with us about it before we could watch the show. Ohhh, Mr. Hooper...

I had to watch the video for about 3 seconds to remember what the Llama Song was. All I can think now is that that footage must have been HELL to shoot, remembering someone or other's dictum about working with animals or small children---this clip has both, and one of the world's most ornery animals to boot.

This I still remember. It affected me greatly (no helpful parents to guide me through it for me) and for the longest time I would wonder "what would happen if Actor X died" about my favorite TV shows.

I'm picturing you wanting the Llama song on endless replay during labor, and all your support people going insane.
