My spouse decided he wanted to be responsible for purchasing Halloween rations this year. I agreed...I assumed that he was going to be reasonable about it. I knew he wanted lollipops, and he couldn't find the ones he wanted at one grocery store, so he said he'd pick it up on the way home yesterday. I thought that was fine, and he did. I just looked at what he bought and there is not one bit of chocolate in the Halloween candy.

None. Not a piece.

I think I may need to demand some on the way home.

NO WAY! I don't think I've lived near a Carvel since I left CT 14 years ago. I am so jealous. Are they prevalent in Florida? I'm going to Sarasota for Thanksgiving, maybe I can score some Carvel there.

I don't know how prevalent they are here, but we found one in Atlanta. There's one in Bradenton, but I have no idea how close that is to where you're going to be.

And not related, but my mom's father was a bigwig in the early days of refrigeration and freezer stuff. He worked with Tom Carvel to develop his first ice cream freezers. So, that's the family connection. It's a running joke every time we get Carvel to rub our bellies and say "Mmmm, thanks Grandpa."
