Weekend-ish Planning

For those of you who are in/near DC (or who want to come by for a visit) Reel Affirmations starts this weekend-it's the DC Gay and Lesbian film festival. I'm thinking about a couple of films I want to see, and would welcome company for some/all of them.

The following are films I'm interested in/likely to see-there are others that I might be more inclined to see with company:

Saturday, 1 PM, Lincoln Theatre-by the U street metro-The Gift (basically a film about bug chasers-I'd read about the film a few months back and I'm glad it's coming here.)

Sunday 6 PM, JCC Theatre (near DuPont Circle)-Fight Back, Fight AIDS:15 years of Act Up

Monday 6 PM, JCC Theatre Transgender Youth Shorts

Tuesday 9 PM, Lincoln Theatre Funny Ha Ha or Funny Gay?


There are a couple of others, but I work Wednesday nights, and Thursday night belong to aquariumgirl, although I may see if she wants to see No Ordinary Love with me. I'm also interested in Secondary High at midnight on 10/24, but I also have a work event, so I don't know if I'll be back in time, or if I'll feel like it after that.

Two more weeks til I can go back to karate. Just two more. I can wait. Really I can.

In the event I do need to go down to Hampton next week one evening...anyone want to accompany me? It would involve leaving NoVa around 4:30 or 5-ish (yes I know, right in the middle of rush hour) and returning later that night, with a kitten. I'd prefer it if you were able to drive and comfortable driving my car (easy to drive.) I'd buy dinner at some point as well.

Bizarre moment...

walking through our admin area for the department and having admin assistant (aka the Hanky Man) ask me "when is Black Rose"

And proceeding to forward him e-mail I had about what was going on.
