I am a happy girl. My friend Scott, one of my dearest bestest friends from college may be coming down here to spend my birthday with me. We've seen each other about once a year for the last few years-a total turnaround from when we'd see each other at least once a day, eat dinner together nearly every night and talk on the phone many times a day, if we weren't together. And when he'd call me every time he had a boy. I still get those phone calls-just not everytime anymore.

I'm looking forward to it-Scott and I shared a lot of favorite places down here, and a flood of memories. And okay, so maybe our favorite places aren't all around anymore, but wasn't it the Beatles who said "There are places I'll remember, in my life though some have changed...some forever not for better some have gone, and some remain."

Now here's to hoping that all the plans work out well.
