Off for the weekend
Jun. 14th, 2002 12:06 pmOne has to love a place where a meeting ends and the conversation turns to wet dreams, orgasms and when the police get called from loud sex. This was a good 40 minute conversation or so. Me, boss, co-worker, admin assistant, and uberboss. Odd, that is.
I'm so incredibly lucky to work in a place like this...where that conversation isn't out of line...where we talk about our partners, whether we're in hetero or homo relationships...or even in poly ones. And where our partners are recognized as an essential part of the family here...when the assistant director of education left earlier this week, at her going away party, her partner came...and our executive director took time out to thank the partner for the time she put in and the contribution to ther agency. Wow.
Off for the weekend to Mom and Dad's. It's Father's Day, and Dad's 65th next week-he doesn't know I'm coming though, so it's all a big surprise.
