Nov. 25th, 2003 12:27 pmI'm not a huge fan of commercial radio, but since I don't have a CD changer in the car, I tend to listen to the radio more than anything. (I'm a radio flipper...I'd need tons of CDs to keep me going in the car.) There is one local radio station I like quiet a bit though Z-104, for the locals.
What they're doing today is the Requestathon. They go commercial free for 24 hours, and have people bid to have their songs played...they'll play anything too. Right now, it's the theme song from "Greatest American Hero", but today's selections have included Elvis, Vicki Lawrence, 50 Cent, Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, Steve Martin's King Tut, and so on. If I had $ to do it, I'd call up and request Pansy Division or something like that.
They'll pretty much play anything. It's kind of fun.
