The State of Things
Feb. 7th, 2005 02:21 amI'm sitting in bed, with one of my favorite movies on TV, a snoring partner, and two cats nearby.
We've had a challenging week and a busy weekend.
Last week's meeting with the rabbi left us with a lot to think about, including our ketubah and our ceremony. It's hard to imagine what to put into the ketubah, what we really are most deeply comitting to. I think we need some help with that, but I'm not sure exactly what we're looking for. We've been working on things on and off but need some solid ground to start with I think.
The weekend was filled with business. Saturday we worked on wedding things; looked at invitations, looked at men's clothing, things like that. Then we cuddled at home in the evening. Sunday was handbell practice, then we parked Cayne on the couch to watch arena football in the afternoon (he's got to do stuff relating to it for work.) I made lunch and we cuddled and ate lunch, then Cayne messed with the computer and I took a nap. I got up, baked peanut butter cookies, made onion dip and sauce. I put two trays of lasagna together-tomorrow when it's chilled, I'll slice and freeze one into lunches for Cayne. At some point this week I'll make some pea soup, and freeze that as well. Just busy stuff.
Cayne's not feeling well at the moment, and is awake with me. I'm hoping he's not really ill and that I don't catch whatever he's got. Meanwhile, Oblivion wants attention and I should be sleeping.
