Rasafracking....
Apr. 14th, 2005 11:44 pmMy mother, very kindly, offered to throw my taxes in with hers for the accountant to do. This has been the case most years-he charges her $25 or so to do mine in addition to hers, and it's done. Normally I send an envelope to him, or to her, with my student loan stuff, and my W2 and tax forms and so on. This year, I dropped an envelope at my Mom's when we visited one day.
Tonight, Mom called me to tell me the state of my taxes. "You're getting money back, but Lenny mailed them to Virginia."
Um, what? If I'd given him the stuff, I'd have let him know that I was in New Jersey now...Mom apologized profusely for neglecting to tell him that we were in New Jersey now. But that money from my tax refund was going to buy the plane tickets for our honeymoon...and now I don't know when we'll be able to do that.
