Help out with your web clicks?

I know a lot of you make a habit of clicking on the Animial Rescue Site's free food thing...

if you're making a habit of clicking on the Animal Rescue site's food donation thing, can you do me and my Mom a big favor...

They're doing a "vote for your favorite shelter" and the winning shelter get's a big donation and stuff. My Mom's really tiny kitty rescue could really use the extra help and votes. They're the SBU Cat Network in Stony Brook New York. They run a trap/spay/neuter program for cats on their university campus. Cats they catch are either released (if they're too ferral to adopt out) or adopted by humans who love them.

The kitties appreciate it.

Oh Livejournalers Smarter than I am...

An LJ community I read was hacked by Russian Hacker. There was a clickable link to some sort of website in Russian; I'm guessing malware/spyware/keylogger, or something like that.

So why am I mentioning this?

While juggling baby plus cat, cat managed to click on link to site. I clicked "back" before the site loaded completely.


I use Windows XP, and Firefox. I have Ad-Aware and AVG, (waiting for them to finish scanning, and will do necessary clean up after they're done.

Do I have anything to be concerned with? Should I run any additional stuff other than AVG or Ad-Aware?
