My kid the baby model?
Mar. 27th, 2010 07:10 pmNow that the virulent Central Florida Stomach Bug seems to have exited our house, we took the girls to do new portraits this morning.
(Three of us had the stomach bug-the only one who seems to have escaped it is Miriam. And it was downright unpleasant enough that the pediatrician gave us Zofran and told me that if the grown ups got it to take two Zofran. We ended up plowing through without the Zofran, but it was nice to have just in case.)
So we headed up to Orange City (about 45 minutes from home) to Simoneau Photography at the suggestion of Maggie. (The Simoneaus are friends of hers.) And Steve and Katie were wonderful with my kids-when Naomi didn't really want to take photos in the studio they shot her out front at the train table in the front window. They took photos outside with the girls. They were just so good with the kids. And when the kids were less than cooperative, they told us to reschedule but they weren't going to charge a second sitting fee. Really great to work with. I opted not to order anything today-I'll order stuff when we go back and I know what I'm working with.
So they were doing a special hat event today with Ma Belle Mademoiselle hats (a local woman who make hats for girls) and Naomi, being my little hat fan went wild over this one hat. They may feature her on their website with one of the hats...we'll see. I've no intention of getting into the whole modeling thing, but if they want to show off my kid, I have no problem with it.
