I can save the service fee (or at least most of it) by going to the box office to pick the tickets up, which is what I'll probably do. It's not as convenient as going to the Birchmere (which is one of my favorite venues around here-it's sort of like a restaurant with a stage, and there's no smoking) to pick up tickets-that's right around the corner from work, but even so, it's worth saving $13.50 per ticket to go in and get them at the box office. Birchmere charges a $2 per ticket service fee when you buy them at the box office, which is reasonable...and that goes for example to cover a police officer to patrol the parking lot.
I wish you could be here at the show with us. But I'll hope that they head out your way soon. (And thank my friend Kerry for mentioning that they were playing.)
