Busy, busy day...

I woke up, and sorted through the to do list for before my trip. Went to the post office to have them hold mail, Michael's to get scroll bars for my canvas, returned a DVD, went to Target for bras and t-shirts and then home. Lunch and cleaned the fridge out...wow is it empty now, which lead to mopping the floor today cause I spilled some soy sauce or something on it when I took out the trash. Then cleaned the bathroom, and wrote two cover letters for jobs that have closing dates while I'm on vacation. And, I hauled my recycling down to the dumpsters. I managed to cross off a bunch of things on the pre-trip list. I also dug out a copy of my birth certificate, since I still haven't renewed my passport, which I really should do sooner, rather than later. I also took care of some student loan paperwork, and paid some of the bills. Will do the rest before I go, just waiting for a check to hit my account first. Tomorrow, I'll finish the bathroom, get some quarters and do laundry, grocery shop, and maybe fax out these letters. I want to bake a batch of lemon cookies at some point too, and it's supposed to be cool and rainy tomorrow, which might make a good time to do that. The plants also need food too. Spending an extra day in Pennslyvania last weekend really threw me off.

I feel bad about not doing any of the social things I was invited to do tonight...a party, a birthday outing for [livejournal.com profile] messyjessy which I hope will be made up for tomorrow with an ice cream adventure, and the TMBG concert, which would have let me see [livejournal.com profile] dindin who I haven't seen in a long time. But I'd also been very social this week, and probably benefitted from the evening at home. And it meant I got cover letters written.

In my continuing quest to deal with moving, I made a list of things that will not suck about living here anymore: Not having to find quarters and fight for washer/dryer time will not suck. No noisy upstairs neighbors will not suck. A place other than the bathtub to wash out litter boxes and trash cans will not suck.

I know that New Jersey gets trashed a lot...and I know I have a number of friends who are in or have experience with New Jersey, so tell me some of the things about NJ that don't suck, and that you love. Tell me about your favorite places to go, to shop, to eat, to hang out. Please?
