I hurt my back today. Not just the usual twinge sort of thing, but on the ground in tears. With packing and moving boxes around, I probably got careless and moved a heavy box incorrectly, and bang!
I've never done this before. I ended up on my living room floor. The cell phone was in my pocket. I called my mother, hoping she would have some suggestions. I called Cayne. I tried to get up. I called my mother again. Several hours later, I'd managed to scoot over the the futon, and get myself vertical. IN the interim, Cayne had called twice, and IMd me, Mom had also called. Cayne had also called Mom because he was worried.
I have never experienced pain like this ever. I in fact said the title of this post to my mother during one of our phone calls.
The pain...that I can get through. I've got some percocet, some robaxin and some tylenol w/codeine in the house. That will hold me until Cayne gets here tomorrow and can take me to the doctor, if necessary. In the meantime, I'm not moving much. (I'm unlikely to be able to make it down all the stairs tonight even if I wanted to go tonight.)
The worst part of this all is that we were supposed to go to my Mom's this weekend for her birthday. I hate missing Mom's birthday. I was supposed to bring home a carrot cake (which I hadn't baked yet, fortunately.) I'm upset about that more than anything.
But really. Please tell me that having a baby hurts less than what this hurt like earlier.
