Jan. 22nd, 2005 06:09 pmNew Jersey has declared a state of emergency after 8 PM and non-emergency vehicles are not allowed out.
They're predicting 15-25 inches where we are, at least.
I can't see the tiretracks in the road. I've yet to see a plow, salt or sand truck in my neighborhood. Lots of businesses, including one of the malls are closed.
We made a big pot of tomato soup this afternoon, we set up the other tv we had, so that Cayne can play video games and I can watch movies.

Date: 2005-01-22 05:02 pm (UTC)I just posted some pics from wandering around outside earlier... fortunately we're on a pretty main road so the trucks go through by us. Deptford Mall doesn't like to close for anything and I think they closed.

Date: 2005-01-22 08:19 pm (UTC)I walked out there a couple of hours ago to assess whether or not it was realistic to try to snap pics (it isn't) and the footprints are already totally gone, between the snowdrifts and the new snow.
So very very glad I don't work for US Airways anymore. Today had to totally suck.

Date: 2005-01-25 09:41 am (UTC)We got 14-16" in south Jersey. My mother-in-law (lives in Cranford/Linden area) said they only got 8" but I think her number is skewed by the fact that she hadn't left the house and didn't shovel the walkway, so she obviously has no clue how much snow is out there.
We made sure to shovel every 3-4 hours to ensure we didn't get snowed in.

Date: 2005-01-25 09:53 am (UTC)I know it also drifted a lot, because I dug my car out last night and had quite a bit of snow up the tires.
