Festivals...

Where I grew up, I'm used to the season between oh, April/May and mid-September being filled with all kinds of church, community and neighborhood festivals. Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Catholic, Apple festival, Strawberry festival, whatever.
So this weekend, we're going to go to the Greek Festival. Cayne has been clammoring for "meat on a stick" ever since I suggested it.
It still doesn't feel like autumn here. There's no crispness to the air, no pumpkin fields to drive past, no leaves to scuttle through. I'm hoping that at least at some time it begins to feel like home.
