So I'm listening to Bob Mould's "See a Little Light" and it's just one of those songs that I can listen to on repeat for hours sometimes. And it just hits me in the right spot...no idea why.
It's been a very quiet, but productive day. Despite the fact that I was 20 minutes late because someone decided to make a U turn at the intersection of South Kings Highway and Telegraph Road (just before the beltway entrance) and blocked things up for a long time, and somone else decided that they would block one of the lanes off the exit ramp at Glebe road trying to cross Glebe, rather than making a right turn like the sign that says "All traffic must turn right" instructs them to do, I still managed to accomplish almost everything on my to-do list by 10:30. I've got a few more things to finish and then I'll get out of here.
The office is very very quiet today...a lot of people out, taking the time before Labor Day off. Perhaps that's why it was a rather productive day. I have one more phone call and two activity reports to fill out. I'm just looking forward to this weekend. There are plans with
aquariumgirl and her husband to see some interesting museum exhibits. It's suddenly a good museum season around here, after a year or two of "eh" exhibits.
I didn't realize last night's pizza post would generate so much interest. I found
rivka's post far more entertaining, but that's just my silly little brain.\
mhw I bought airmail stamps today, so I'll post things to you tomorrow.
Is it just me, or is the air extra icky today-I've been wheezing for two days.
I'm just oddly calm at the moment. I feel centered in a way that I haven't felt in a while. It's sudden, and certainly fleeting...it will probably disppear when I leave work, but it's a good feeling at the moment. I feel warm, and the energy is flowing sort of up and out in a very positive and radiant way. Almost mystical. If I had to identify it physically, it's the sort of feeling I get when I have two magenets with the same polarity and I put them towards each other. It's a glowy feeling. I could bask in this feeling for a long time.
I think I'm going to finish what I need to do and complete everything on the to-do list for today.
And enjoy the glow
