Perhaps I spoke too soon
Jun. 27th, 2006 01:31 pmWe've had rumbling thunder and lightning and rain for about an hour, or so. We also got an e-mail from the mortgage guy that said "You'll hear from us within an hour with the amounts for the checks."
In fact, the storm is serious enough that it's made the smoke alarm chirp, and scared the cats.

I just wanted to mention that my alarms chirp when the battery is low.

Date: 2006-06-28 03:40 pm (UTC)Our smoke alarms are hardwired, and the chirp happened in conjuntion with house-shaking thunder, and stopped after the storm, so I don't think it was the battery (I don't think they have batteries in them, but I could be wrong. The office here has never mentioned anything about checking/changing batteries, so who knows?)
