I've been finally moving photos off of the memory card for the cameras...there are photos from last autumn, where the kittens were still babies, and from when Diane and I were in Disney World just before Thanksgiving, and so on. So, there will probably be some photo heavy posts in the next few days.

You can see more of them, here.

I had been thinking of painting the kitchen yellow, but I didn't care for the way it looked next to the grey counters. But the blue color I tried out looked really nice with the grey counters, and the weird colored floor, and the green color I'd picked for the sitting room, which doesn't have any division from the kitchen. So, brain trust, do you think blue is a good kitchen color, or just too weird?

Beautiful! Completely gorgeous.

I love how low the window is in the mancave.
I love how green the yards are.
I love the SIZE of the backyard.
I love the front walkway.

Blue is a good kitchen color. A friend used blue and white in her kitchen and it is quite awesome.

My kitchen growing up was yellow. In my former house it was a sage green color. In this house it's off white over the counter (black formica) is deep purple there used to be a shit load of grapes around the top of the cabinets but I removed them. I want to paint the eating area a lime greenish color.

I'm so sick of the off white walls in every room in this house. A year is long enough to start deciding colors and painting don't ya think? We were in the house a year March 1.

If I could choose colors and get painting I would.

I love yellow kitchens. A mediterranean yellow, not a buttercup. We were going to paint ours yellow, but I had such a hard time finding the right shade and eventually did a sage green (Behr, Olivine) instead.

Our kitchen was blue -- pale. I love blue, but I hated the kitchen in that shade. It just didn't work. I think if it had been more bold, I would have liked it?

Take a look at the price of replacing the countertops. I recall that MiniBoss redid hers, and as long as you aren't putting in granite, its incredibly reasonable -- like only a few hundred dollars. (She repainted her dark cabinetry to white and then put in soft blue flecked counters. Gorgeous!)

The house is beautiful. You did a great job!

Blue is a good kitchen color when you have grey counter tops. No worries. My kitchen is yellow, but my counter tops are hunter green. I think that you are making a good choice!
XOXO

Yay! Blue is great I think. I love yellow, but it seems to be done by everyone so I think blue would be a nice change of pace. Do you have Garden Ridge where you are in FL? They usually have fairly inexpensive decorating pieces. I soooooo a going to miss them in Utah.

With all the white walls the pink and biege room seems so random.

Wet Concrete. SOunds um depressing.

I like blue. I'm thinking of turquoise and french blue in the master but I'm unsure still.

Tatiana wants about 15 color in her room. She used to have a sky with clouds and grass and flowers and butterflies, dragon flies and lady bugs. I'm not redoing that but I would do something different.

I'd like to have a mural or something painted but I don't know what. Dilemmas Dilemmas.

Oh well.

Our nursery was pale yellow. The room was that color when we moved in and we just went for it. It stayed that way until I painted it for her "big girl room" when she turned two.

I wish she would just pick Purple or something like a normal kid. But no.

My mom wants pale green in her bedroom and bath. I want to do something fun in my office and the playroom. Who knows? Chris says in order to paint I need to have A) Money left over B) A Free Weekend and C) Me Healthy. So yeh we may be here forever without painting.

I love the mancave window. It looks like an awesome space.

Blue works for kitchens. My old house had navy blue countertops, and this one has aqua blue counters. can you tell I like blue? :)

Very cool! It looks great!
