geminigirlI was on the phone with my parents tonight, about an hour before Naomi's bedtime. Cayne typically puts her to bed, but she does come and say goodnight to me before they go.
So tonight, while I'm on the phone, Naomi comes over to me, waves and says "bye bye" (which she does just about every night before bed) and walks over to her room. An hour before bedtime. All by herself.
The poor tired kid wanted to go to bed. I think if she could have climbed in herself she would have.
Cayne gave her a quick shower (to get the banana out of her hair) and she got a kiss and a cuddle from me, then milk and toothbrushing and bed. Early.
Amazing.
