Less than Ideal

geminigirlRecertification is required annually of anyone who participates in our peer education program, if they wish to continue to be peer educators. This afternoon we were supposed to hold our first one.
I arrive at the office at 11:15 to set up...we're to begin at 12. At 5 past 12, S. hasn't called, nor has she arrived. At 10 past 12, I. shows up with one of the peer educators from the most recent group we trained (in other words, not eligible for this event) and her sister, who has nothing to do with us. He says "I'll be right back, I need to go get five more girls."
When I left yesterday, the headcount was four confirmed. All of whom were from the first year.
He returns with five other girls, two of whom are in need of recertification, the other three from one of the more recent training groups.
At half past 12, S. shows up.
We scrap the entire plan for the day, meaning I don't need to be here. I have nothing to do; the activities I'm supposed to do are all on hold until we can actually hold this training.
I'm fuming and angry, which doesn't resolve anything, I've wasted a day, I don't feel well, and my car is sick. (I'm going to try and get it fixed on the way home.)
