I woke up this morning and my fingers and wrists were swollen and stiff. I had a hard time getting my watch on. I'm not used to this...my mother has this, but she's 31 years older than I am. I've been headachey and sniffly and feeling sort of mildly yucky all day. Not enough to stay home (since we get grief about taking Mondays off because of staff meetings)
I got grief for wanting to take the 31st off. It happens to be a Monday...but I have 106.1 hours of vacation right now. I cease to accrue vacation at 120 hours, which I'll end up with in two or three pay periods. We're supposed to avoid taking Mondays off because of staff meetings. I take less vacation than anyone on my team...on the rare occasions I do take time off, don't bug me about it.
So much on the personal to do list-request grad school catalogues, study, all kinds of things. No energy to do them. Just want sleep. I'm looking forward to the weekend because I don't have to work on Saturday. It's nice to have a weekend of nothing scheduled. Unless that changes, I may spend most of the weekend in my bathrobe, just curled up in the house...
The drive to hibernate is still hanging around, but not as strong. It's there, and I'll take advantage of the weekend to do it if I can. Or at least catch up on some sleep. And maybe even watch some basketball.
