Our site visit from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is today. At a meeting I had to be at this morning, we were talking about challenges and successes and so on...and in talking about my stuff, I don't even remember how it came up...probably when I was talking about the incredible diversity among the youth I work with or something and A. said something about how I connect well with the youth because I'm just as crazy as they are. Mock indignantly, I said "I hope you're being nice to me," which brought out compliments from several people at the table about how well I develop relationships with the young people, and how easily I get along with them. Or, as one person put it, "Those kids love you."

Wow.
