Seriously thinking about switching primary care doctors....

I like the NPs in the practice. I don't like my GP. I haven't liked her since the beginning, the first time I saw her for asthma related stuff. Still no word on the MRI. Have just made phone call number 2 about it. She's pushed narcotics for pain management when I specifically said I wasn't okay with them. And she only gave the referral to ENT grudgingly for the tonsils, at which point she also told me that it would be expensive, elective surgery or that they wouldn't take them out at all.

It's hard with the HMO to be so limited in the choices I have for doctors...but even if I have to stay within the same practice, I'd like a difference PCP.

I'll call and see who is taking new patients I guess.

I went through 5 in a year until I found one I could trust and who listened. It's worth it. Be a PITA about what you want until you find someone who deals with it and gives you the care you want. It makes a huge difference.
