peeves of the moment
May. 17th, 2003 07:25 pmBecause I have a lot of peeves...
people who don't check things like Snopes to find out if things are true or not before they post them. Lately it's been Dr. David Hager and Dioxin in Tampons, but it doesn't matter.
people who misspell "masterbate"-no idea why this irritates me so much, but it's one of the most glaring spelling errors and gets on my nerves a lot.
And those are my peeves of the moment.
And those are my peeves of the moment.

Date: 2003-05-19 09:16 am (UTC)I even ran the spell checker to make sure I'd spelled misspell correctly because it looked funny.

Date: 2003-05-19 12:33 pm (UTC)And last week's grammar torment for me was the flyer that included "Sasha Bruce Youthworks." The possessive for "youthworks" is s', which just looked weird when I was messing with the layout. The flyer came out reasonably nicely considering I was trying to do it in MS Powerpoint, and not even something intended for that kind of work like Publisher.
