Still healing.
Up stairs is still difficult. Downstairs is sort of less difficult. I'm getting around my place sans crutches, but outside I'm still using them. And I don't know what it is that I do that hurts, other than moving. There are some motions, but I can't figure out which ones which make me wince and cry. I managed to not take my shower on my knees today, although that was very difficult. Yes, I've been taking showers on my knees. And awkwardly getting in and out...not something I'd like anyone else to see.
My knee feels twitchy and wobbly. I sort of wonder if whatever tore has affected ligaments or something. Worth asking next week, although it will probably get me a physical therapy referral which is a PITA. Especially rehabbing the knee which means weeks upon weeks in the gym doing boring exercises. And, because it means at minimum once a week trips to SpgVa, which is annoying for the traffic. Plus it may mean more weeks out of karate which sucks big rocks...as it stands now the earliest I'll be allowed back is next Thursday and that's not even definite.
Still, I'm more mobile, and less sore. I haven't taken any painkillers since Tuesday night. I'm grouchy and a bit crazy from being home so much and not really able to do the things that need to get done (I need a few groceries, but at the very least need to get bananas, and should take care of the cat box and the laundry) but I'll manage until I'm feeling totally okay. Or at least okay enough on the stairs.
Still. I'm getting along and getting around. And I'll be okay in a few more days.

It's nice that it's a sports injury and not a falling down the stairs thing. I just want it to go away. Mostly cause I'm going crazy thinking about how long until I'll be allowed to go back...that and the inability to carry things while hobbling around on crutches are the two things that make me most grumpy.
