It's good to be back. More about the actual trip later, I think. The cats are alive, and only marginally clingy. Oblivion has spent a bit more time on me, or on the bed with me than usual, but she didn't snub me when I came home, which is her usual way. Beta is in another psychokitty phase...racing around the house and being stranger than usual. The has historically preceeded a growth spurt, so if he gets bigger again, I won't be surprised. He's awfully tall already though. If he does go through another growth spurt, this may be the last one. He arrived in my life on 9/12/02, at just under 8 weeks old, so he's just about 14 months. He may grow a bit in the next couple of months, but I don't expect much more.

TSA only seems to want to see what's in my suitcase when I'm travelling with toys. And at Oakland it was a remarkably public area in which they decided to examine my bags. At least there wasn't too much to say about the neoprene flogger. And the other new toys were all still in the packages.

If I start flying more frequently than I am now, I must find one comfortable bra without wires, because I got felt up by the TSA screeners every time...underwire bras.

Meanwhile, now that I'm back...

1. Check out Temple Micah with demonfafa-probably this Friday if anyone else wants to go.

2. Find somewhere to go for High Holiday services where I can afford the tickets, or where they're giving them away. Probably should call DCJCC or something about it soon.

3. See maxdwolf soon, since it's been ages and ages and I promised to see him when I got back.

4. Crabs with curiousangel, rivka and anyone else who feels like coming along (I think aquariumgirl said she wanted to go too. We should do this soon before the weather gets too cool to really enjoy being outdoors.

Meanwhile, lunch and then more pretending to work. Meeting with boss this afternoon...let's not get too frustrated with her.

Early...I think Oneg is at 6, and services at 6:30. They're up around Wisc/Mass Ave, so we could probably find dinner nearby after sometime. (There's a place that makes pretty good Fajitas up the block a ways.)

You're probably better with metro to Dupont and then the bus. I forget which bus lines run up there though. (The other option is to get you at the metro, but that's hard to do in most of DC...)

You are welcome to join Stephen and I at LJC for the High Holidays. And we would love to join you for crabs if it fits the schedule. We are gone the weekend of the 18-20 but free otherwise.

(And just a heads up, but crabs will likely be up around Baltimore/Anapolis/somewhere out that way, but I'm leaving it up to curiousangel to choose the place because he knows better than I do. You're not unwelcome, but I also know it's a long trip for you.)
