Last year, the shoulder problem that I've had since college flared up badly enough to the point where I was having trouble breathing as a result. The cause is still mostly unknown, but the treatment was physical therapy and when it flares badly, a strong painkiller. I'd fussed and fought to get something not a narcotic-I don't like the side effects, and they make me too sleepy to take safely during the day if I needed one, and so after much debate, I was given a prescription for Ultram. Ultram isn't a formulary drug for my HMO, so the script had to be specially approved and so on, but the normal pain killer prescribed for this would either be a narcotic, a high dose of ibuprofen or naprosen. Ibuprofen is a no-no, I'm allergic to that.

Fast forward to last week. I order a refil of the ultram...this is the first time I've refilled it in the not-quite-a-year since I got it. Saturday, the prescription arrives, and it's not Ultram, it's naprosen. I don't object to the change in medication...that's not the problem. The problem is that the patient insert that came with the new script says not to take it if you're allergic to ibuprofen. And now I'm going to play phone tag with the doctor's office to try and get this straightened out.

Grrrr.

My right rear turn signal was out the other day. I realized it on Sunday when I went to run some errands, so I pop the trunk, and try to remove the bulb. Stuck. Won't budge. Can't get it out. I have no clue why, usually I can change the bulb with no problem. I decide to stop on the way home to get it checked out. The guy pops the trunk, reaches in, and realizes that the bulb has melted to the socket. No wonder I can't get it out. He fusses with it, manages to get the bulb out of the socket, and replaces the bulb. Cost me a few dollars more than doing it myself, and annoyed me because it's something I can usually do myself.

And I'm waiting for news about something and I'm getting impatient.

I stumbled upon your journal and your icon reminds me so much of my cat, Geoffrey. I don't have a recent pic of him, but I can give you a link to him if you feel like checking him out.

Do you mind if I add you as a friend, please?

Beta is so adorable!

Geoffrey is a little over 10 months old, and he thinks he's a dog. Chasing his tail, playing fetch with some Happy Meal toys. He's totally nuts!

I checked out your info earlier and fully understand it all. I just thought I would double check before just adding you. I guess it's the polite thing to do. Feel free to add me back if you like, but I won't take offence if you don't.
