aquariumgirl If you read this, did we make plans for dinner tonight...I forgot to write them down and coming back from vacation, I'm a bit brainfried.

meepkitty I lost your phone number. And we need to make plans to get together between now and Thanksgiving. I have some free weekends.

rivka I'm glad your back. I may try to pick your brain for something soon.

melebeth I have ideas for you. Remind me to talk to you about them before I forget. And if you're down here, we should do some brainstorming face to face.

curiousangel Are we still planning to go get crabs? (and all you who are reading this the wrong way...stop.)

sabbysteg I haven't forgotten that I owe you email or information about how I got my job. Tonight if I can, or some time later this week.


And to the rest of you I'm glad to be back. I've got some things to say about my trip and my experience at home, but in the meantime, I'm switching gears back to my workbrain...which has started out with an interesting day, including my boss trying to strangle me.

I know why I missed being at work last week...

my boss tried to strangle me, literally (she was joking, of course.) when she found out that "nonreactive" on the HIV lab slips meant "negative" and when I (who was reading the slips upside down because she said she couldn't find the results on the slips) made noises of concern that "nonreactive" meant "no result." (Bear in mind here that there are three of us trying to read a ledger sized piece of paper, and that I was reading upside down and couldn't see the little minus sign on the paper until I looked up close and right side up.)

and someone else just ate bubble gum flavored lube...just to taste it. Apparently it tastes a bit like bazooka gum. Course as I said, "If I'm going down there, I don't want it to taste like bazooka"
