Cats and other cuddlies
Mar. 5th, 2003 07:55 pmOblivion played yesterday. For the first time, since I brought Beta home, I saw her play. (This is of course with the exception of the time that Beta was at the vet last week...she enjoyed that.) I was happy to see her chasing one of the furry toy mice who inhabit my apartment. I've missed seeing her do that. It was just a few minutes, but it made me feel like she was feeling better. She's currently perched on my keyboard tray, staring at me, licking my fingers and blocking my mouse.
Beta seems to be recovered from his surgery. He's still got another dose of antibiotics to take, but he doesn't seem to be in pain, and he's mostly himself. I've had to chase him away from the plants, disengage his teeth from my feet, and try to convince him to not jump on or wrestle with Oblivion. She's still intolerant of his leaping on her and biting her neck, although he sat and let her lick his face when they were both trying to drink from the bathtub faucet.
dwildchil and I have been talking cooking.
aquariumgirl and I are planning a possible day of gi-altering, and hamentaschen baking depending on my work schedule for Saturday.
melebeth and I are plotting again. She encourages my intellectual pursuits like no one else...
I am ready for spring...for short sleeves, and sandals, and brighter days, and less mud and dirty snow. It's time. We had an early winter start this year, with a lot of snow.
Thinks are okay. Not perfect. Not too bad. Just on an even keel.
