Interesting compliment that Betakitty's picture got...

"he's so cute he makes me want to talk babytalk to my screen."

Oblivion is playing, regularly...she's begun to pick up and toss around the toys. This makes me feel good; it's taken a few months, but she's getting used to things I think. I still love to watch her play, and Beta watches her-he doesn't seem to be trying to intercept her when she plays.

I can't tell if they're pestering each other, or if they're playing, but they're doing the biting at each other, paw swatting, kind of thing. This afternoon, one sat on the top of the kittytree, and one sat on the lower shelf of the kitty tree and they swung paws at each other.


It seems that Beta knows his name...he turns to me when I say it, even if he ignores me when I call him or discipline him.
Monsters.

It's April 1. This (technically) means that there are 27 more days til my boss's due date.

She's gotten harder and harder to deal with. And I'm looking forward to this...

Grousing about work...

I know the budget is very tight at work at this time of year...Imagine happens at the end of the month and that brings in a significant amount of money. And so, things are tight. My last expense report that I submitted wasn't small, either, and I was told to charge it to a different grant that the one that usually covers my expenses.

Thing is, I haven't gotten an expense check in a month. The reports are submitted and approved, but I'm not getting the money. Because this is the time of year when the budget is tightest. I depend on my expense checks to carry me between pay checks. I make so little, salary wise (I'm grossly underpaid for someone with my qualifications, but lets face it, there are only so many jobs doing what I'm doing, and what I'm good at,) that those expense checks are a necessity. I may not see an expense check for a bit either, and it's just stressful to not have that money...it's not a consistent amount, but it's something.

I hate this part.
