So after all that mess with backing things up to the server...I go to burn my stuff to CD, and discover that you're not allowed to burn things to disk, that you have to have network access to do that, and I don't have access to the network, only administrator access to my machine.

Grrr.

I threw everything essential on the server, and will hope that nothing happens. It's on my local drive as well, so if one goes hopefully the other won't.


And after my fuss about why are we still open, here's how my morning started...

Get up, check voicemail, no message saying we're closed. Shower, get dressed, check voicemail again, no message. Feed cats, go to work. Get to office, and run into my officemate, who tells me that we're closed. We discover that at least four people didn't get the message that said we're closed. I come home, check the flashlights, the radio and get things together. And now, I'm going to nap.

They're evacuating about a mile and a half away from me.

Dad thinks I need to go prepare just in case I get evacuated.
