Sep. 26th, 2003 10:26 amStupid head cold has made me so out of it that I left the house this morning without my purse. Which means I don't have my wallet, inhaler, cell phone, or any of the other things I have in there.
Warm apple is good. Nuked my apple this morning for about 30 seconds. It warmed the whole thing through, and the very middle was starting to get baked. Yum.
Tired of this in-between weather. I want it to be Fall. I don't like that it's too cold to leave without a jacket in the morning and too warm to wear it home.
Mom is wonderful. One of the professors in her department is in Israel for the year, on sabbatical. Both my Mom and the professor are HUGE West Wing fans. (I'd gotten Mom a coffee mug that says "Martin Sheen is my President" a few years ago. When Sarah took my Mom to the ER last year, and Mom wanted to get a thank you gift, she asked if I could get another one.) So Sarah is in Israel right now, and of course is missing West Wing. She caught an article in the International Herald Tribune about it, and heard it was a fantastic episode. (No spoilers please, I got a tape of it last night, so I'll watch this weekend.) Anyway, Sarah doesn't want to miss the entire season, so I just got an e-mail from Mom that said "I know you tape West Wing. If I buy the tapes, can you save the tapes so we can give them to Sarah?" It's this kind of thing that I appreciate about my Mom-that she'll try to do this kind of thing for someone. (And yes, I'm sure she could do it herself if anyone in the house knew how to program the VCR. They don't, and even if they did, both my parents have a hard time with remote controls because they can't see the buttons or numbers.) It's not a hardship or a crisis for me to program my VCR to tape West Wing, so I'll do it.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled sneezing.
