Sister's surgery went well. She's having issues coming out of the anesthesia with temperature regulation and nausea, but that's not unexpected. They took half her thyroid and left the other half, the preliminary biopsy was negative, the more detailed one will be back in about a week.

Mom and Dad are going home-the nurse suggested it, and her boyfriend is staying-they'll probably kick him out at 8.

She'll be released soon, maybe tomorrow, maybe not, depending on when they know she's regulating things like calcium and whatnot...I don't know about the long term management or if it's just a thing where her body has to reset itself (my mother didn't know either.)

I'd really love to talk to her, but she's just not up for that.
