zedrikcayne life away for the last month or six weeks of my pregnancy is next week. RSVP deadline was today. Partners/spouses/Significant Others are generally welcomed at these events. I went to last year's party...it was right after we found out I was pregnant.
So he forwarded me the e-mail and asked if I wanted to go. Well yes, I do. They're playing Rockband and the location is pleasant and the drinks are good, etc. But, it's also not a place to take the baby. It's at a bar.
I pointed out that it's not really a place to take the baby, although we could pop her in the sling and I could go, and he said he didn't want to go without me, but that in fact, it's not a place to take the baby. He said "But I don't want to go without you." I pointed out that it's "politically expedient" for him to go...he really should be there...it's playing the career game. He said he'll go and make an early exit.
Fair enough...right?
