Children's Clothing
Jul. 29th, 2009 05:02 pmPetite child along with fluffy cloth diapers=frustrated Mama.
I'm trying to figure out what we need in terms of clothing for both kids...Naomi was an April baby...temperatures are already in the 80s by the time her birthday rolls around. She spent a good part of her first six-ish months in a diaper and very little else. December babies need different clothes. And since we don't know whether baby is a boy or a girl, we're also challenged in what's available. For that matter, even if we'd wanted to know, baby wasn't particularly cooperative at the ultrasound anyway...he or she is laying low and transverse, and barely gave the sonographer the shots she needed, forget the money shot. (Not that we'd have asked even if she'd gotten one.)
I'm trying to find the short sleeve/long pants one piece outfits that we like for Naomi for in between weather, along with long sleeved, lightweight, footed sleepers, and gender neutral stuff is challenging. And they're difficult to find in the first place, but even more so in more neutral patterns. And newborn and 0-3 neutral sleepers with snaps, preferably snaps up both legs, not just one.
And for Naomi, I suppose I need some pants. Capri pants, skirts and dresses for in-between weather, and jeans. But she's a petite kid, and then with the fluffy cloth diapered butt-
alibee's daughter is six months younger than Naomi and was bigger at 9 months than Naomi was at 15 months. So I've got to either convince her to sit there and try on pants, or guess at sizes, hope things fit and end up returning what doesn't. And I don't have patience for either one right now.
I'm feeling that incredibly fidgety "must get a billion and one, sometimes ridiculous things done before aby arrives." I haven't blogged about this baby at all. Which makes me feel kind of guilty because I documented things with Naomi quite well, but I just don't have the time or energy this time and truth be told, I'm paying a lot of attention to the toddler lately, and in some ways I notice the pregnancy less...what's interesting to me is that
zedrikcayne has bonded with this pregnancy in a very different way than he did when I was pregnant with Naomi.
And it really is time to start thinking about a support person for Naomi during labor, and to start actually working out the things that are stressing me that could make labor more challenging or slower, so I can get them out. Just need to decide where to start...
