Sep. 17th, 2010 02:12 pmI dream of a day without leaky breasts and when I can use the bathroom without an audience.
Miriam went back to the doctor yesterday (three trips to the pediatrician in two weeks...if you count next week's well baby visit, we're at four in three weeks.) The NP decided that two weeks of whatever she's got means it's probably time for an antibiotic, so she's taking Augmentin, which I had apple flavoring added to. (I figured that it would be hard enough to get the medicine in to begin with, no point in making it worse with a bad taste...so for $2.99, I had apple added to it.)
Poor Monster is also getting nebulizer treatments twice a day too. She hates them. They're loud and they involve a mask. She screams the whole time and fights the mask-Andy's given the last two and had to keep her in a hug hold the whole time. Naomi hates them too-they're loud and they make the baby upset. And she doesn't like it when the baby is upset.
I have a piece of duct tape on my finger, covered with first aid tape. (I had a little growth that looked kind of wart like so I put some duct tape on it and it seems to be getting smaller.) Naomi is into kissing my boo boo. If she sees my hand she picks it up, and kisses the tape. And I tell her "Thank you. My boo boo feels better." In my last post I called her stubborn and cute but I forget sometimes how sensitive she is (and I'm crying while I write this, too.) The way she looks out for Miriam and pats her and tell her "don't worry" and the way she kisses my finger...she's got a heart, for sure. And a kind one.
