Maybe it really is time for a move to DW
Oct. 31st, 2012 11:27 amThe end of paid LJ accounts?-that and the new design that looks much more like Tumblr is really a turn off.
Furthermore, I just got this message from LJ when I made my post-
Your password cannot contain symbols such as @,_, (),etc. Your password is too easy to guess. It's recommended that you change it, otherwise you risk having your journal hijacked. Please see "http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=71 for LiveJournal.com's password rules, and visit http://www.livejournal.com/changepassword.bml to change your password.
So I follow the link to see what the "new" password rules are and see:
How do I choose a secure password and keep my account secure?
You should keep your account secure for the sake of your own LiveJournal identity (entries, comments, etc). Additionally, keeping your account secure also keeps your Friends' entries secure because you have access to protected entries in their journals. Your LiveJournal password must meet the following requirements:
6 to 30 characters long.
At least 4 different characters.
At least 1 number or symbol.
At least 1 character that is not a number.
ASCII characters (characters found on a standard US keyboard).
Not based on your username, email address, displayed name, or a commonly-used password.
How can I get an error message about my password containing a symbol when the password rules say to use a symbol?
