Shallow conversation today...lunch consisted of making top ten lists of sexiest men and sexiest women. Anderson Cooper from CNN made a lot of lists.
In other news, it's very difficult to open doors with my right hand-it hurts. And I'm not clueful enough to do it left handed, without thinking about it.
And I'm hungry, all day, no matter what I've eaten, half an hour later, I'm hungry again. Can't figure out why, but was planning on making really yummy soup [1] for dinner, so maybe that will be okay.
Forthcoming-the very brief Arisia report.
And check out today's Google logo.
[1] It's yummy if you like seafood-it's got clams and shrimp in it.

Date: 2004-01-23 05:10 am (UTC)Sliced mushrooms
Some onion
Some white wine
milk/cream/fat free half and half
A couple of handfulls of steamed shrimp, thawed if frozen
2 cans of clams
Some mussels or clams, raw in the shell, cleaned.
Saute the onion, some garlic and the mushrooms in an olive oil/butter mix. Just enough to keep it from sticking. When it's soft and translucent, drain the oil, and add the tomato sauce, and let it warm. When it's warm, add the canned clams, with the liquid, and heat a bit. Add the cream and the wine, and season-I used black pepper, basil and oregano. I might add more garlic here too (I keep a jar of minced garlic in the fridge) When it tastes about right, add the shrimp, and the mussels/clams, and steam til they're done. I eat it with some garlic bread. I think I got three or four meals out of the batch.
(It's rather inexact, but I tend to cook like that. I hope you can replicate it into something you guys like.)
