Shirlington or Dupont Circle. scherzoid and I go to the one in Shirlington when we go out for lunch. (I like it better-less crowded most of the time.)

I could come down for the fourth, but would I feel like tourist streaming into the city for MajorHolidayEvent (tm)? I only go to 7/4 on the Mall because I'm here. It's like, I don't think I'd go see the fireworks over NY Harbor unless I was already there sort of thing.

There is *much* better Indian food in Jersey, regardless of where you're going. South Jersey, North Jersey, Central Jersey - its all good. Where are you moving to again?

I loved the First Ladies exhibit. And Dupont Circle. I'm applying for jobs in the DC ish area. (As in Baltimoreish, but it's closer than I am right now)

I had a late lunch at Luna yesterday and thought of you. Unfortunetly it was much too hot for the tomato soup.

We went for dinner and although it was hot, I had tomato soup...and an omlette which made me think of you.

There's lots of Indian food up here, too. And some of it is quite good. But Afghan food is something to miss DC over.

I've always liked the Indian I got down here better than up there; then again, it takes a while to find the "favorites" so I'm sure it will happen.

Yes, I meant Etheopian but said Afghan by mistake, though it's true about Afghan, too. You can get some of both in NY, but they're not nearly as good as the best places in DC.

I'll know more about when in the next few weeks.

I'm less passionate about making a list for up there, cause I used to live up there. It's a sort of homecoming to be moving back there...I'll be in Jersey instead of New York, but still close enough to the things I loved before.
