I feel like my answers are misleading - the "pride" I take in buying a condom is the "I'm proud that I have sex responsibly". And the size thing is very funny; I buy the biggest ones, even though if I were to fit them on me, I wouldn't need it. But often enough, the man I'm with is big enough to need it, so . . . there's that pride thing again.
I like buying the Trojan Magnums, especially the response from the cashier. My favorite response is the quiet blush. I can use regular trojans, but they come up a lil' short. Some brands I cannot use at all. I've eyed the boxes of Magnum XXL, and am a bit intimidated. I'm curious, as I seem to fill a magnum pretty well, but I am afraid I would be heartbroken if I bought a rubber that was too big. (I went through the same feelings before trying the magnum)
Have you seen the Inspiral condoms, or the other ones that sort of make me think of tadpoles...they kind of have baggy heads so they're supposed to feel better, kind of things?
Ah yes. And they do! joedecker is a big fan of both those and Pleasure Plus (and PP in a GV label packet is Good Vibrations' housebrand, too) for the nice big baggy end. It makes a lot of difference with fellatio, especially.
For reasons similar to those you've stated as declining quizes/polls in the past, I'm passing on this one because it's too limited and without room for explanation - saying that I expect/ask my partner to buy condoms doesn't come close to showing the difference between the fact that that's because I'm ashamed and embarassed or the fact that I hate shopping or the fact that after years of hormonal birth control that I was responsible for, now with barriers it's his turn or the fact that he's pickier about the type or the fact that I also have "my" own, or the fact that my uncle owns the local pharmacy, or... etc. etc. etc.
(and obviously, those are examples; some not all are true in my case :o))
