I got back to work today, and my chair was broken, and my Rolodex was gone.

I've managed to rectify the chair situation, but I don't have my rolodex. I thought that perhaps my boss had borrowed it to look for a phone number, but it's not in her office...

This is a problem.

It is incredibly odd.

Then again, this is also the place where someone would take out my giant flipchart about STDs and open it to the naked people drawings or the genitalia drawings too.

I'm just stressing because I don't have some of the numbers in there recoreded elsewhere.

I guess that's one advantage of the palm over the rolodex. can back it up. but I realized over the weekend that printed addressbooks remind you of people you might want to call in a way that electronic do not...

Does anyone else in your office deal with the same folks?

Are the chairs distinguishable in any way other than being broken? (In other words, are you sure that it's really 'your' chair?)

One of the thrills of being in a non-profit is that our stuff is mostly second hand, and often mismatched. I actually had a unique chair. I loved it too; it was really comfortable and just the right height. The one I grabbed out of an empty office to replace it isn't quite as comfortable, but was the best option out there.
