They anounced the going away party information for the woman who leaves about two weeks before I do. I'm feeling funny about it.

I'm feeling projects wind down, and things end, and deciding what to keep and pitch and so on.

It's strange to sit in meetings knowing that so much of what's being talked about is happening after I'm gone. (It also makes some of the meetings a dreadful bore)

(2) I was driving Scott's folks in Alexandria last weekend and was fed up with the rude driver who kept honking at me to make a left turn into traffic. I flipped the bird over my shoulder before I remembered the in-laws were in the backseat. I apologized and his mom said, "Eh. We're inside the beltway. I'd do the same thing."
