Why do the kids put beans in their ears?

I was on the couch and invited Widget Thudnerpaws to come up and sit with me.

zedrikcayne says, "Well he may not want to come up and cuddle. I put him in my pants."

And I reply calmly, "Why did you put the cat in your pants?"

(The answer was because he felt like it. I still don't understand.)

Some cats will often go sit pants when they are around ankles when sitting down in the bathroom.

Well, yes. That I know...Beta used to do it when he was a kitten, Oblivion did it, Widget and Gizmo have both done it.

But that's not the same as the human taking the kitten and putting him in the pants...

There is a song about that..."Why did the kids put beans in their ears?" And the answer each time is because their parents said no...etc...

Perhaps Cayne's parents at one time told him never to put a cat in his drawers?

HAhahah! I laughed WAY louder than necessary at this!

I didn't understand what he meant-I presumed that he meant that the cat got into his pants while he was in the bathroom...they've been known to do that. But he demonstrated...he picked up the cat, pulled out the waistband of his pants (he was going commando at the time) and put the cat in. The cat climbed down his trouser leg.

I watched him do this, and laughed so hard that it hurt, and that my eyes were tearing.
