About three years ago, I wrote this entry about giving the Beta Kitty his first collar. Tonight, we gave Widget and Gizmo their collars. Gizmo ran off to hide. Widget has tried to eat the bell, and chew on the collar, has decided that the jingle noise comes from under the glass shelves, and has run in circles trying to figure out where the noise comes from.

And Beta...oh, the Beta. I had the collars in a bag, and he could hear them jingle as we walked in. I think he worried that I had brought more cats home. I showed him the collars, still in their packaging, and he seemed okay with it, if a bit nervous. Then we attached them to the kittens, and well, Beta was suspicious, and skeptical and nervous, and now, he seems to have realized, "same cat, different noise" after giving Widget a good sniff-down. Beta and Widget seem to be sharing some new toys that we brought home, now, and adjusting to the jingle noise.

Now if only I can adjust to the new jingle noise...

oOOOh, I hate the jingly noise on our cats, so I make sure I rip off the bells before I put their collars on! LOL

We just put their township licence on them and remove the bell, so they are pretty noiseless. We found if we left the bell on, not only did it annoy us, they'd also find ways to ditch the collar since it hinders their hunting ability.
